Nostr
Notes and Other Stuff Transmitted by Relays
What it is — Nostr is a simple, open protocol where posts are signed JSON events broadcast to a network of relays. There is no server you depend on — anyone can run a relay, and your identity is a cryptographic keypair that no platform controls.
Why it matters — Nostr is the most censorship-resistant social protocol in existence. Your account cannot be banned because it is literally a key. It is Bitcoin-native: zaps (Lightning tips) are built into the protocol, and many of the sharpest minds in crypto publish there first.

How DegenFeed enhances it — DegenFeed connects to a pool of relays for redundancy, renders kinds 1, 6, 7, 30023 and 9734 (zap requests), supports NIP-07 browser signing and NIP-46 remote signing, and lets you cross-post your Nostr notes to every other protocol — with zaps aggregated into your unified feed.
